Pipe Sock™

Le PipeSock est un système à base de polymère renforcé avec de la fibre de verre qui a été conçu pour éliminer les problèmes de corrosion caverneuse engendrée par le contact entre les métaux. Il consiste en une plaque d'usure en composite pré-formé à la dimension de la conduite et un système d’adhésif avec une formulation spéciale qui se combinent pour former un système résistant à l’usure qui évite la formation de corrosion caverneuse. PipeSock peut résister à des températures de 121°C. il est totalement adhérent à la conduite, éliminant ainsi le risque de pénétration de l'humidité et la formation de cavités de condensation.

Installation

1. Remove Pipe from Support  Lift the corroded pipe off support or stanchion.       2. Surface Inspection and Preparation  Brush contact surface with a wire brush and lightly abrade with sandpaper to remove loose dirt and scale. Inspect the area and repair any anomalies, as required.     3. Apply Black Magic  Remove release liner from the PipeSock™ and apply Black Magic™adhesive to the inside of the PipeSock™.       4. Install PipeSock™ and Reposition Pipe  Carefully position the PipeSock™ on the pipe. Then, lower the pipe on to the support. Taper any excess material with a putty knife.
