Corrosion prevention

Repairing infrastructure corrosion costs the U.S. more than $270 billion annually. That includes damages caused by natural disasters including hurricanes, floods, tornadoes and earthquakes, as well as the constant wear and abrasion of daily operations in a variety of environments. In order to serve our customers who work in those tough environments, we offer a variety of corrosion prevention solutions, including PipeSock™, SplashGard™ and Abrasion Resistant Coating™ (ARC). From pipe support applications to piping, vessels and other structures, these products easily conform to nearly any contour and are designed to resist sand, UV radiation, fuels and other solvents.

The PipeSock system’s patented design combines a pre-formed, fiber-reinforced, plastic wear pad lined with an adhesive sealant that forms an elastomeric corrosion barrier to repel moisture.

The SplashGard™ system is a dual-component specialized coating / structural reinforcement solution specifically designed for use in wet or submerged conditions. The SplashGard system consists of two components: SplashBond™ Adhesive and Splash Wrap, a fiberglass cloth impregnated with moisture cured urethane (MCU) resin. The innovative corrosion barrier system can be applied underwater and adheres easily to wet steel surfaces. It not only arrests corrosion and wave action, but also provides structural reinforcement, making it an ideal option for use on risers.

Abrasion Resistant Coating™ (ARC)
The ARC™ system, made of a tough fiberglass fabric combined with a unique abrasion-resistant epoxy coating, bonds to a number of different materials, and is especially effective at soil-to-air interfaces (transition zones).
